Fake Google “Suspicious Sign-In Prevented” Emails Lead to Phishing Site

Google customers be advised that fake emails are being sent  that warn of suspicious logins to their account. These spoofed emails trick customers to go to a phishing site and enter their Google credentials.

The spoofed emails look like this:

If you click on the “Check Activity” button it takes you to a phony site like the one below. Which then captures your password.

Google does send emails like this to their users so if you get an email like this, look at it closely and hover over the links to make sure it goes to a legitimate Google domain.
